Bargain Box is an outreach ministry of the Church of the Servant. It is a unique retail thrift store that sells a large variety of items in an attractive boutique, accepts donations, provides an outside sheltered free bin, recycles less saleable items, offers training and employment, and supports community agencies with "Bargain Bucks". |
Our motto is "If we share what we have, we'll all have enough".

To date since 2005 we have:
- Welcomed daily 60-80 donors, shoppers, and persons in need of our "free bin"
- Partnered with 81 community agencies
- Redeemed $21,260 in Bargain Buck vouchers from 22 agencies
- Given away 57 tons of clothing
- Awarded grants totaling $81,013

"Bargain Bucks" are available to churches or organizations that request help for their clients. They look similar to and spend like $10 bills. So far Bargain Bucks have gone to 22 different agencies including:
- Phoenix Employment Ministry
- First in Families
- New Hanover County Health Department
- Coastal Horizons
- East Coast Solutions
- Catholic Charities
- Ashley House
- more organizations that serve the local community
Bargain Box has also given away more than 42 tons of clothing to:
- Episcopal Farm Workers in Newton Grove, NC
- St. Peter the Fisherman's Early Bread Program
- Salvation Army

- Tuesday - Friday 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Saturday 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Donations accepted also)
- Monday - donations only
- Sunday - closed
