Good Shepherd Ministries
The Good Shepherd Center feeds the hungry, shelters the homeless and helps transition those in crisis to independence in the community. They work to solve the homeless issue in the lower Cape Fear region by offering programs that positively impact the lives of individuals and transition them into independent living.
- Soup kitchen serving breakfast and lunch
- Overnight shelter
- Day labor referral program
- Food distribution program called "second helpings"
- Transitional living program
Church of the Servant Good Shepherd Center (GSC) outreach ministry currently involves dinner preparation, serving, and cleanup for 120 Good Shepherd Center guests on the first Friday evening of each and every month. We currently have three teams that serve on a rotating basis and more volunteers are needed!
